Workout at HomeWHO: JETS' virtual running program is designed for elementary aged students; no running experience necessary!
WHAT: Follow along during our exercise videos and follow a weekly goal sheet, recommending 30-45 minutes of movement per session with running, drills, strength exercises, & games. WHEN: Virtual programming through the website beginning July 6th. New videos every Monday, Wednesday & Friday until August 14th. WHERE: Exercises will vary; some being able to be performed indoors and others outside. JETS can help identify a safe outdoor space near you. WHY: Participants learn goal-setting, independence, responsibility and commitment. Our training teaches healthy habits: proper warm up, stretching and pacing during workouts. JETS encourages physical, social & emotional health benefits of exercise. HOW: Virtual training is free to all participants. Click below to register. |
Workout with JETSWHO: Rising 4th, 5th & 6th graders excited about running and able to follow 6 ft physical distancing guidelines. No experience necessary.
WHAT: Participants are in small groups (8 or less) and led thru 45 minutes of running warmups, drills, strength exercises, workouts and games. Each session brings new challenges. WHEN: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; July 20th - August 14th. Check-in by 9:00a and pick up at 10:00am. WHERE: Thatcher Woods; Drop off/Pick up: Parking lot at Thatcher Woods Pavilion. Entrance on Chicago Ave. just west of Thatcher Ave. WHY: Participants learn nuances of running and different workouts. Participants learn to push themselves testing their limits physically and mentally. JETS coaches support long term physical, social & emotional health benefits of exercise & being part of a team.
